Dashboard figures disagree with the platform in Match-Trader

Balance, equity, profit or drawdown shown on the firm dashboard does not match what the platform shows.

Match-TraderDashboard figures disagree with the platformaccountrules

What is causing it

The dashboard usually updates on a delay and may measure things differently, for example counting floating profit or using a different starting point.

Why this happens

The platform shows your trading account in real time. The dashboard shows the firm's assessment of your account against their rules, which is a different calculation on a different schedule. Both can be correct at the same time.

This matters because breaches are decided on the firm's numbers. If the two disagree about how close you are to a limit, the cautious assumption is the one that stops you trading.

The fix, step by step

  1. Close all positions or wait until you are flat, then compare again. Most differences are floating profit being counted differently.
  2. Refresh the dashboard, as it commonly updates periodically rather than tick by tick.
  3. Check whether the dashboard's drawdown figure is based on your highest equity so far rather than your starting balance, as these give very different numbers.
  4. Confirm you are comparing the same account number, especially if you hold more than one.
  5. Treat the firm's dashboard as the authority on rule compliance, since it is the figure they act on, even when the platform looks friendlier.
  6. If a difference persists while flat and refreshed, report it with screenshots of both and the account number.

How to confirm it is fixed

With no open positions and both views refreshed, balance and equity agree on both systems.

Stopping it happening again

Judge your remaining risk from the dashboard, not the platform, and screenshot both at the end of each session.
