Follow these five steps in order and MSP will be running on your chart in about 5 minutes. New to MT5? Every step is spelled out so you cannot miss a click.

Before you start

Make sure you have all three of these ready. It takes a minute.

Step 1 - takes 30 seconds

1Download both MSP files

Direct-website MSP ships as two files that work together. Download both, one at a time. Your browser will put them in your Downloads folder.

File 1 - Indicator

Market Structure Pro Dashboard

The main MSP tool that draws on your chart. Goes into the MT5 Indicators folder in Step 2.

File 2 - Licence Bridge

MSP LicenceBridge

Small helper that unlocks the indicator with your licence key. Goes into the MT5 Experts folder in Step 2.

If your browser shows a security warning about downloading .ex5 files, click Keep or Save anyway. MT5 indicator files are safe.

Step 2 - takes 1 minute

2Put each file in the right MT5 folder

The steps are slightly different for Windows and Mac. Pick your platform.

  1. Open MT5. At the top, click File›Open Data Folder. A Windows Explorer window opens showing folders like config, logs, MQL5, templates.
  2. Double-click the MQL5 folder.
  3. Open the Indicators folder inside MQL5.
  4. Open a second Explorer window at your Downloads folder. Drag Market_Structure_Pro_Dashboard.ex5 from Downloads into the Indicators folder.
  5. Go back one folder (Up arrow), then open the Experts folder.
  6. Drag MSP_LicenceBridge.ex5 from Downloads into the Experts folder.
  7. Back in MT5, right-click any empty space in the Navigator panel (left side) and choose Refresh. If Navigator is hidden, press Ctrl+N to show it.

On Mac, MT5 runs inside Wine, and Wine has its own separate clipboard from Finder. That means copying a file in Finder will not paste inside MT5's file window, and keyboard shortcuts like Cmd+C and Cmd+V do not work there either. The trick is simple: do the whole copy-and-paste inside MT5's own file window, using right-click every time. Follow this exactly and it works first time.

  1. In MT5, click File›Open Data Folder. A file window opens inside Wine, titled MetaTrader 5, showing folders like config, logs, MQL5, templates. Do everything below inside this window.
  2. Look at the left sidebar of this window. Click /›Users›your home folder›Downloads (your home folder is your Mac username). You now see your downloaded files, including Market_Structure_Pro_Dashboard.ex5 and MSP_LicenceBridge.ex5.
  3. Right-click Market_Structure_Pro_Dashboard.ex5 and choose Copy.
  4. Click the green Back arrow at the top of the window until you are back in the MetaTrader 5 folder (the one showing config, logs, MQL5, templates).
  5. Double-click MQL5, then double-click Indicators.
  6. Right-click any empty area inside the Indicators folder and choose Paste. Market_Structure_Pro_Dashboard.ex5 appears.
  7. Now go back to Downloads: use the left sidebar again (/›Users›your home folder›Downloads).
  8. Right-click MSP_LicenceBridge.ex5 and choose Copy.
  9. Click the green Back arrow to return to the MetaTrader 5 folder, double-click MQL5, then double-click Experts.
  10. Right-click empty space inside Experts and choose Paste. MSP_LicenceBridge.ex5 appears.
  11. Back in MT5, right-click any empty space in the Navigator panel (left side) and choose Refresh. If the Navigator panel is not showing, open the View menu at the top and click Navigator.

Do not copy from Finder, and do not drag

Wine's clipboard is separate from Finder's, so a Finder Copy will never paste into the MT5 file window, and dragging from Finder looks like it works but the file never appears. Always navigate to Downloads using the left sidebar inside MT5's own file window, then right-click Copy and right-click Paste there.

How to check it worked (both Windows and Mac)

In the Navigator panel: expand Indicators - you should see "Market Structure Pro Dashboard". Expand Expert Advisors - you should see "MSP_LicenceBridge". If either is missing, redo the copy-paste and Refresh.

Step 3 - takes 30 seconds

3Give MT5 permission to check your licence

MSP checks your licence online, so MT5 needs your permission once. This is a normal MetaTrader setting used by many indicators.

  1. At the top of MT5, click Tools›Options. A window opens with tabs at the top.
  2. Click the Expert Advisors tab.
  3. Tick the checkbox Allow WebRequest for listed URL.
  4. Copy the exact address from the box just below, then in MT5 click the empty URL box, right-click it and choose Paste:

  1. Press Enter after pasting so it appears on its own line in the list.
  2. Also make sure Allow algorithmic trading is ticked (top of the same tab).
  3. Click OK to save.

Important - use the exact address

Copy-paste the URL exactly, including the https:// and www.. Missing or extra characters will fail silently.

Step 4 - takes 30 seconds

4Attach the LicenceBridge and paste your key

Now unlock MSP with your licence key.

  1. Find the AutoTrading button in the MT5 top toolbar. If it is red or grey, click it once so it turns green. If it is already green, do nothing.
  2. Open any chart in MT5. If nothing is open, click File›New Chart and pick any symbol like EURUSD.
  3. In the Navigator panel, expand Expert Advisors and find MSP_LicenceBridge.
  4. Drag it onto the chart. A dialog window pops up.
  5. In the dialog, click the Inputs tab (across the top).
  6. Find the row Licence Key. Copy your key from the green box at the top of this page, then right-click the value field and choose Paste.
  7. Click OK at the bottom of the dialog.

How to check it worked

Look at the top-left of the chart. Within about 10 seconds you should see: Status: Licence active. If instead it shows "Licence invalid" or nothing, jump to the troubleshooting section below.

Do not close this chart

The LicenceBridge only runs while its chart window is open in MT5. If you close the chart, MSP will stop working (after a short grace period). Attach the Bridge to a chart you always keep open, like a chart of your main trading symbol or a background clock chart. One Bridge covers every MSP indicator on every chart in the same MT5 terminal, so you only need to do this once.

Step 5 - takes 15 seconds

5Attach Market Structure Pro to your charts

Everything is set up. Now put MSP on the charts you want to trade.

  1. In the Navigator panel, expand Indicators and find Market Structure Pro Dashboard.
  2. Drag it onto any chart. Leave the defaults for now - MSP works out of the box on any instrument and any timeframe. Once you are comfortable, you can tweak the inputs (TSI, SuperTrend, EMA lengths, HUD layout and more) to match your own style.
  3. Click OK in the dialog.
  4. Repeat for every chart you want MSP on.

You should now see

The chart splits into two panes: your price chart on top, and the MSP HUD subwindow below it showing the verdict (TRADE TRANSITION or NO TRADE), the confidence score, the A / B / C grade, and a plain-English line telling you why.

You are done. MSP is now running.

Troubleshooting - if something is not working

Bridge chart shows "Licence invalid" or "Licence key not found"

Fix: Right-click the LicenceBridge on the chart, click Expert Advisors then Properties, click the Inputs tab, and check the licence key. It must match the one in your welcome email exactly, with no extra spaces before or after. Copy-paste it fresh from the top of this page.

Bridge chart shows "Allow WebRequest for..." or "WebRequest not allowed"

Fix: You skipped Step 3, or the URL is wrong. Go to Tools then Options then Expert Advisors. Confirm the Allow WebRequest for listed URL box is ticked, and that https://www.traderindicators.net is in the list exactly (including https and www). Click OK, then right-click the LicenceBridge and choose Remove, and re-attach it.

Bridge chart shows "AutoTrading disabled" or nothing happens

Fix: The AutoTrading toolbar button is off. Click it once so it turns green. Also confirm Allow algorithmic trading is ticked in Tools then Options then Expert Advisors.

Indicator chart shows "Attach MSP Licence Bridge EA and paste your licence key"

Fix: The Bridge is not running on this terminal. Attach the LicenceBridge to any chart with your key (Step 4). One Bridge covers every MSP indicator across every chart in that MT5 terminal.

The HUD subwindow (bottom pane) is not showing

Fix: Restart MT5 (close and reopen it), or right-click the Navigator panel and choose Refresh. If it still does not appear, the file may not have made it into the Indicators folder - repeat Step 2.

Nothing in Navigator after I dropped the files in

Fix: Right-click any empty space in Navigator and click Refresh. Or restart MT5. If still not there, you may have dropped the files into the wrong folder - go back to File then Open Data Folder and make sure the .ex5 files are inside MQL5/Indicators and MQL5/Experts, not just MQL5.

Updating to new versions

Lifetime and Lifetime Pro plans get free updates forever. When a new build ships, you will get an email with a download link. To update: replace the old .ex5 with the new one in the same folder (overwrite the old file), then in MT5 right-click Navigator and choose Refresh. Your licence key does not change.
