Mobile app and browser do not match in TradeLocker

The app shows a different balance, a different account list, or lacks tools you use in the browser.

TradeLockerMobile app and browser do not matchmobileaccount

What is causing it

The app is a separate client with different features and refresh behaviour, and phones suspend background apps.

Why this happens

Both clients talk to the same account but are developed and released separately, so parity is never exact. Phone operating systems also suspend background apps, so brief disagreements that resolve on refresh are expected rather than faults.

The fix, step by step

  1. Refresh or reopen the app before comparing anything.
  2. Confirm both are on the same account number, not a demo and a live account.
  3. Confirm with your firm that the app is supported for your account and that you have downloaded the right one.
  4. Treat the browser platform as the authority for anything that matters and check there before acting.
  5. Expect some order types, drawing tools and reports to be missing on mobile, which is normal.
  6. Report a persistent balance difference after refreshing both, since that means one is on a different account.

How to confirm it is fixed

After refreshing both, the account number, balance and open positions agree.

Stopping it happening again

Use one client as primary and the other as a viewer, and never manage the same position from two devices at once.
