Account disabled after a breach or expiry in TradeLocker

The account loads but will not trade, or it no longer appears in your account list.

What is causing it

The evaluation has been breached, expired or closed by the firm, and trading permission has been withdrawn.

Why this happens

Firms remove trading permission but usually leave the account readable so you can review the history. The platform therefore loads normally and only fails when you try to trade. An account that has disappeared entirely has usually had its platform user removed, which typically happens at a stage change or closure.

The fix, step by step

  1. Check the account status on your firm dashboard, which is the fastest and most reliable answer.
  2. Check your email including spam for the firm's automated breach or expiry notice.
  3. If the evaluation had a time limit, check whether it simply ran out, which is an expiry rather than a breach.
  4. If you recently passed a stage, check whether a new account with new credentials has been issued and the old one retired.
  5. If the dashboard says the account is active, log out fully, close the browser and log in again before reporting.
  6. If the dashboard and platform still disagree, contact the firm with the account number and what each shows.

How to confirm it is fixed

The dashboard and the platform agree on status. A read-only platform against a breached dashboard is expected behaviour.

Stopping it happening again

Track drawdown using the firm's measure, which may run from peak equity and may include floating losses, and stop well short of the limit.
