Platform slow, laggy or unresponsive in DXtrade

Clicks take a moment to register, charts stutter, and the interface feels heavy compared with when you started.

What is causing it

Usually local browser load: many tabs, many charts, a long-running session or graphics acceleration problems.

Why this happens

A live trading page is one of the heaviest things a browser runs. It holds streaming prices, several charts and a running order book view in memory, and it never gets the natural clear-out that navigating between pages would give it. Left open for hours it grows, and everything else on the machine competes with it.

The fix, step by step

  1. Reload the page. A trading page left open all day accumulates data in memory and a reload clears it.
  2. Close other tabs and applications, especially video, and reduce the number of charts and instruments the platform is streaming.
  3. Turn off browser extensions for this site, then reload. Extensions that inspect or rewrite pages are a common cause of heavy pages.
  4. If drawing is stuttering or corrupted, toggle hardware or graphics acceleration in your browser settings and restart the browser to see which is better on your machine.
  5. Check your own network with a speed test and, if you can, use a wired connection rather than wifi.
  6. If the platform is slow on a second machine and a second network at the same time, report it to the firm, as that points to their side rather than yours.

How to confirm it is fixed

After a reload and a clear-out, clicks register immediately and the chart scrolls smoothly for a sustained period rather than for the first few minutes only.

Stopping it happening again

Reload the platform at the start of each session, keep only the charts you are actually using, and run it in a browser profile that has nothing else installed.
