The app and the browser disagree on balance, available instruments, order types or which accounts exist.
The app is a different client against the same account. Feature coverage and refresh behaviour differ, and some firms do not enable the app at all.
The app and the web platform share the same server-side account but are built separately, so they do not necessarily expose the same features or refresh at the same moment. Add a phone that suspends background apps, and short disagreements between the two are expected.
Persistent disagreement, such as a different balance after both have been refreshed, is worth reporting because it means one of them is looking at a different account.
After refreshing both, the account number, balance and open positions match on the app and in the browser.
Use one of them as your primary and treat the other as a viewer. Do not manage the same position from two devices at once.
