Layout, panels or watchlist reset in DXtrade

Your arrangement of panels, chart settings or watchlist is back to defaults after logging in again or switching device.

DXtradeLayout, panels or watchlist resetlayoutbrowser

What is causing it

Layout may be stored in that browser's local storage rather than on your account, so clearing site data or changing browser loses it.

Why this happens

Web platforms often keep display preferences in the browser itself so they load instantly. Anything that clears browser storage, including privacy cleaners, incognito windows closing, and some security tools, removes them. That is why the layout survives a reload but not a cleanup.

The fix, step by step

  1. Check whether the platform offers a way to save the current workspace or layout to your account, and use it if it exists.
  2. Avoid clearing cookies and site data for the platform's address, as this commonly wipes stored layout along with the session.
  3. Check whether you are logged into a different account. Each account can hold its own layout, and a new evaluation account starts from defaults.
  4. Rebuild the layout once in the browser you actually trade in, and use that browser consistently.
  5. If a saved layout will not load at all, report it to the firm with the account number, as the storage sits on their deployment.

How to confirm it is fixed

Log out, close the browser, reopen it and log in. The layout you saved is still in place.

Stopping it happening again

Use one browser profile for trading, exclude the platform's address from any automatic cleaning tool, and take a screenshot of a layout you are happy with so it is quick to rebuild.
