Charts blank, stuck or missing history in DXtrade

What is causing it

Usually a browser-side rendering or session problem, or history the firm's feed does not supply for that instrument.

Why this happens

A browser chart holds its data in the page. Anything that interrupts the page, such as a blocked request, an extension rewriting the page, or a graphics driver problem, can leave the chart with nothing to draw even though your connection is fine. History is a separate matter: the chart can only show what the firm's feed provides, so a short history is a data question for the firm rather than a fault you can fix locally.

The fix, step by step

1. Reload the page fully rather than switching tabs, and give the chart time to request its history again.
2. Switch to a different instrument and back, then to a different timeframe and back, which forces the chart to rebuild.
3. Try the platform in a private or incognito window. If the chart works there, the problem is a cached file, a stored session or an extension in your normal window.
4. Disable browser extensions, ad blockers and privacy blockers for this site, then reload. These commonly block the connections a chart uses for live data.
5. Try a different browser. If the chart works in one browser and not another, the fault is local and not with your firm.
6. If history is short on one instrument only, ask the firm how much history they supply for it. Some newly added instruments genuinely have little.
7. If graphics look corrupted rather than absent, turn off hardware or graphics acceleration in your browser settings and restart the browser.

How to confirm it is fixed

New candles form in real time on the current timeframe, and scrolling back loads older bars without gaps for the period you need.

Stopping it happening again

Keep a clean browser profile for trading with no extensions installed, and use it only for the platform.
