One tab shows different data from another, actions taken in one tab do not appear in the other, or one tab logs the other out.
Each tab holds its own copy of the interface but they share one session, so they can disagree or interfere with one another.
Each tab makes its own connection and holds its own view of your account. They are only as consistent as their last update, so a stale duplicate can show positions that are already closed. Some platforms also allow only one active session, so a second tab can end the first one's session.
The real risk is duplicate orders. A tab that looks frozen may have sent the order anyway, so resending from a second tab can double your position.
Only one copy of the platform is open, and the positions and orders it shows match the provider's dashboard.
Keep one trading tab, in its own window, and check open positions before assuming an order did not go through.
