Account read-only, closed or gone in WebTrader platforms
The platform loads and shows history, but trading controls are missing, or the account has vanished from the list.

What is causing it
The account has been breached, expired, suspended or closed by the provider, and trading permission has been removed.
Why this happens
Providers usually disable trading while leaving the account readable, so you can review what happened. The platform therefore looks entirely normal until you try to place an order. An account that has disappeared altogether has generally had its platform user removed, which typically happens on closure or a stage change.
The fix, step by step
- Check the account status on the provider's dashboard, which answers the question faster than anything in the platform.
- Check your email including spam for an automated notice explaining which rule was broken and when.
- If the account had a time limit, check whether it simply expired rather than breached.
- If you recently changed stage, check whether a new account with new credentials has been issued and the old one retired.
- Log out fully, close the browser and log back in before reporting, in case the platform is holding an old state.
- If the dashboard and the platform still disagree, contact the provider with the account number and what each shows.
How to confirm it is fixed
Dashboard and platform agree on the status. A read-only platform against a breached dashboard is correct behaviour, not a fault to fix.
Stopping it happening again
Track drawdown against the provider's own measure, which may run from peak equity and may count floating losses, and stop well short of the limit.
