A symbol you want is not available.
The symbol list is filtered, or your account does not include it.
The symbol list you see is filtered rather than complete. cTrader groups instruments and lets you filter and favourite them, so a symbol can be present on your account and hidden from the view you are looking at. Searching by name bypasses the filters, which is why searching finds instruments that browsing the groups does not.
Underneath that, the instrument set belongs to your account rather than to cTrader. Brokers offer different symbols on different account types, and some instruments are restricted by jurisdiction, so an instrument can be genuinely absent from your account while existing for other clients of the same broker. Only your broker can tell you which situation applies, and no platform setting will change it.
The symbol should appear in your watchlist with a live bid and ask during its trading session and open on a chart with history. A symbol that appears but shows no prices is most likely outside its session rather than unavailable, so check the trading hours before concluding it is missing.
Build a favourites or watchlist of the instruments you actually trade, so you are not browsing the full grouped list each time. If a particular instrument matters, confirm it is included in your account type and region before opening the account, since this is decided at account level.
