The installer fails or will not complete.
Permissions, antivirus, or a missing framework.
Installing cTrader writes files outside your user profile and registers components with Windows, which requires elevated permissions. Without them the installer stops partway, sometimes without a clear explanation, leaving a partial installation behind. On a work or shared computer the permissions may simply not be available to you, in which case no amount of retrying will help.
Antivirus software is the other frequent blocker. Trading platform installers download components and write executables, which resembles the behaviour security software is designed to stop, so an installer can be quarantined or silently blocked mid-run. An incomplete or corrupted download produces a similar failure, which is why fetching a fresh copy from your broker is worth trying before anything more involved.
The installer should complete and cTrader should launch and reach the login screen. Restart the machine and launch it once more, since a partial installation often works for one session and fails afterwards. Reaching your account list confirms the installation is genuinely complete rather than merely started.
Download from your own broker's link so you get their supported build and an intact file. Install on a computer where you have administrator rights, since a locked-down work machine is a permanent obstacle rather than a temporary one. Re-enable any antivirus protection you paused for the install as soon as it has finished.
