Why this matters more in crypto

Crypto routinely moves 10 percent in a day and 80 percent in a cycle. Sizing by feel rather than by arithmetic is how accounts disappear. This calculator makes the loss a decision you took rather than one that happened to you.

A note on stop distance

If your stop is very close to entry, ordinary volatility will hit it. If it is far away, the position must be small. Both are fine. What is not fine is a wide stop with a position sized as though it were narrow.

Common questions

How much should I risk per crypto trade?

One percent of the account is a common answer and it is not too small. In an asset class where 80 percent drawdowns are normal, survival matters more than any individual trade.

Does this work for leveraged positions?

Yes. The position size it gives you is what you should hold. Leverage changes the margin you post, not the size that makes your risk correct.
