What is causing it

The price changed before filling, or there is no live quote for the symbol.

Why this happens

An MT4 market order carries the price you saw and, optionally, the maximum deviation you will accept from it. The broker compares your price against the live one and refuses the fill when the gap is larger than you permitted, rather than filling you at a worse price without consent. The rejection is therefore a protection working as intended, which is why it appears around news releases, at session opens and in thin markets where price moves between your click and the broker receiving it.

A different situation produces the same message: the broker having no current quote for that symbol at all, because the feed for it has dropped or it is between sessions. There is then no price to compare and nothing to fill against. The distinguishing sign is that it affects one symbol persistently while everything else trades normally, in which case it is broker-side and worth reporting.

The fix, step by step

1. Raise the "Maximum deviation" (slippage) in the order window.
2. Avoid trading the exact moment of high-impact news.
3. Confirm the symbol is open and trading.
4. Re-add the symbol to Market Watch to refresh the feed.

How to confirm it is fixed

Send a small order on a major pair away from news and confirm it fills and appears in the Terminal window with an open price. If you enabled a deviation, compare the fill price with the price you clicked so you can see how much slippage you actually accepted, since setting a very wide deviation removes the protection rather than solving the underlying cause.

Stopping it happening again

Use pending orders around scheduled high-impact news so you set the level rather than chasing it. Choose a deviation that reflects the normal spread on the instrument rather than a blanket large figure. If one symbol rejects repeatedly, treat it as a feed problem and contact your broker instead of widening deviation further.
