What it can do
How the score breaks down
Each dimension is explained on the methodology page.
Where it is strong and where it is not
- The widest chain coverage of any mainstream wallet, including Bitcoin and Solana
- Clean, genuinely beginner friendly
- Built in staking for many assets
- Disclosed its 2023 extension bug and paid out
- Owned by an exchange, which some people mind
- Extension is far less mature than the app
- Not fully open source
Incident history
A vulnerability in its browser extension key generation affected wallets created in a narrow window in late 2022. Trust Wallet disclosed it, contacted affected users and set up a reimbursement fund.
Reputation and reviews
A reputation score out of 100, kept separate from the feature score above. It reflects what users actually report over time rather than a star rating scraped on one day.
Enormous user base and generally positive sentiment. The recurring complaints are the hidden dapp browser on iOS, which is an Apple restriction rather than a Trust Wallet decision, and Binance ownership, which some people mind on principle.

Star ratings change constantly, so we link to the sources rather than printing a number that is out of date the day after it is written.
