My wallet will not connect to a site
You click Connect and nothing happens, or it connects and immediately drops.
What is actually happening
Usually a stale session, a second wallet extension fighting for the same slot, or the site expecting a different chain.
How to fix it
- Disconnect the site inside your wallet, refresh the page, and connect again.
- Disable any other wallet extensions. Two extensions competing to be the browser wallet breaks both.
- Switch to the chain the site actually wants before connecting.
- Clear the site’s cached connection, or try a private window.
- On mobile, use the wallet’s built in browser rather than Safari or Chrome.
If a site asks you to sign a message you cannot read, do not sign it. Connecting should never require approving a transaction.
