ThinkMarkets is a multi-asset CFD and forex broker founded in 2010, co-headquartered in London and Melbourne. It suits both beginner and active traders: newcomers can start on the commission-free Standard account with no minimum deposit, while cost-sensitive and high-volume traders can use the ThinkZero (raw) account with spreads from 0.0 pips and a $3.50-per-side commission on FX and metals. On regulation and safety it is comparatively strong, holding licenses from several top-tier regulators (FCA in the UK, ASIC in Australia, CySEC in Cyprus) as well as the FSCA, JFSA and the offshore FSA in Seychelles, and it segregates client funds. Which entity a client is onboarded to depends on region, and the offshore entity carries weaker investor protection than the FCA/ASIC/CySEC ones.
On platforms, ThinkMarkets is a standout: it supports MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, integrates TradingView, and offers its own proprietary ThinkTrader platform (web, desktop and mobile) built on TradingView charting, which has won industry app awards. The product range is broad at roughly 4,000 instruments, covering forex, indices, commodities, around 1,500 share CFDs, ETFs, futures, and cryptocurrency CFDs.
Costs are middling on the entry accounts (EUR/USD around 1.1 pips, gold around 19 cents) but competitive on the raw account. Funding is flexible (cards, bank transfer, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, crypto, Apple/Google Pay), a demo account is available, and support runs 24/7. The main drawbacks are average default spreads, a modest crypto lineup, mixed customer-service feedback, and the usual CFD risks; it is not available to US retail clients.
A separate reputation score out of 100, based on genuine user reviews across the web and kept independent of the feature score above. Our read: reviews are mixed.
DailyForex rates ThinkMarkets 4.0/5 and confirms Tier-1 regulation (FCA, ASIC, CySEC, JFSA, FSCA) plus deposit insurance up to USD 1,000,000. However most international clients are onboarded under an unregulated Bermuda entity, reducing protections. High-volume review data (Trustpilot/FPA/WikiFX/BrokerChooser) unverified this pass.
