Full review

Markets.com is a long-established online CFD broker, launched around 2008 and operated by entities within the Finalto Group, a business that was historically the financial arm of Playtech plc. It is genuinely multi-regulated: its European arm, Safecap Investments Limited, is licensed by CySEC, and it also holds licences with the FCA, ASIC and FSCA, while an offshore St. Vincent & the Grenadines entity serves international clients.

The broker offers CFDs only, spanning forex, indices, commodities, shares, ETFs, bonds and cryptocurrencies, totalling roughly 2,200 instruments. Traders can use Markets.com's own web and mobile platform as well as MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, so Market Structure Pro can be used here. The minimum deposit is low (around $100), there are no trading commissions (costs come through variable spreads and overnight swaps), and it operates on a market-maker execution model. Funding is flexible, a demo is available and support runs 24/5.

The main limitations are that it is strictly a CFD provider (no real-share investing, spread betting or physical crypto) and it does not accept US clients, with UK retail access also appearing restricted. As with all CFD brokers, a large majority of retail accounts lose money.

Reputation & reviews

A separate reputation score out of 100, based on genuine user reviews across the web and kept independent of the feature score above. Our read: reviews are mixed.

Verdict
~ Mixed reviews

Mixed but not alarming: a large 'Average' 3.7/5 Trustpilot profile mixing praise for responsive support with recurring deposit/withdrawal disputes, alongside a solid 4.0/5 from BrokerChooser and a very low 1.4/5 from a small Sitejabber sample. Reviews look organic with no clear fake-review-farm signature. Markets.com is a regulated brand (Safecap/CySEC; TradeTech/Finalto FCA, ASIC, FSCA); complaint volume is consistent with a large CFD retail brand where losing traders skew reviews negative.
