Axi (formerly AxiTrader) is an Australian-founded CFD and forex broker established in Sydney in 2007, serving retail and professional traders across more than 100 countries. It is a good fit for cost-conscious forex and CFD traders who value the MetaTrader ecosystem, copy trading, and access to a funded-trader program, but it is not available to US clients. On regulation, Axi holds licenses with several respected authorities, including the FCA in the UK and ASIC in Australia (both Tier-1), plus the DFSA in Dubai and the FMA in New Zealand; client funds are held in segregated accounts and eligible UK clients receive FSCS protection. Traders should note, however, that a large share of international customers are onboarded under the offshore St. Vincent entity, which carries fewer protections.
Costs are competitive. The commission-free Standard account offers typical EUR/USD spreads around 1.0-1.3 pips, while the Pro (Raw) account provides spreads from 0.0 pips with a typical commission of roughly $3.50 per lot per side (about $7 round turn); an Elite tier caters to high-volume traders. Gold (XAU/USD) spreads are tight on the Pro account and around 0.16 on Standard (approximate, varies by account and market conditions). There is no minimum deposit on the main accounts, and Axi does not charge deposit or withdrawal fees.
On platforms, Axi supports both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 (MT5 is confirmed as currently available on the official site for Standard and Pro accounts), alongside a proprietary Axi web and mobile trading platform that embeds TradingView charts. It does not offer cTrader, and TradingView can be used for charting but not for direct trade execution. Execution is no-dealing-desk STP. Instrument breadth is moderate at roughly 220 CFDs spanning forex, indices, commodities, shares, and cryptocurrencies. Support is available 24/5, and Axi runs an active partner program (IB, CPA affiliate, and hybrid).
A separate reputation score out of 100, based on genuine user reviews across the web and kept independent of the feature score above. Our read: reviews look genuine.
Axi (est. 2007) earns strong cross-consistent professional ratings (4.2-4.8/5), holds Tier-1 ASIC and FCA plus DFSA and FMA, and is a member of The Financial Commission dispute-resolution body; reviewers report fast withdrawals. No regulator fines or scam patterns found. Key caveat: most non-EU/UK retail clients onboarded through AxiTrader LLC (St. Vincent / Vanuatu).
